When attempting to paint over the powder coat on our brackets you will need to take some additional steps to ensure your paint has the best chance of adhering. We recommend scuffing the surface of the bracket with around 180 grit sandpaper to create a surface your paint can adhere to. Then ensure all debris is removed from the bracket with some form of solvent cleaner. At which point when the bracket is scuffed, clean, and dry you can apply your paint. We recommend starting with a primer before going in with your actual pain color.
